The North Carolina Republican Party has filed two complaints against a group linked to a memo that laid out an attack strategy against Republicans.
The GOP filed complaints with the state elections board and the Internal Revenue Service against Blueprint North Carolina, a partnership of liberal advocacy groups.
A series of documents was emailed to supporters by a Blueprint official and leaked to the media. One leaked memo, which the group denies having sent, called on progressives to “eviscerate” GOP leadership.
“It is imperative that the public finds out if any laws were broken and who exactly was involved in this plan to ‘eviscerate’ our elected leaders,” state GOP Chairman Robin Hayes said in a release. Jim Morrill
