Canes recall Dalpe, Gragnani from Checkers

The Carolina Hurricanes on Monday recalled forward Zac Dalpe and defenseman Marc-Andre Gragnani from the Charlotte Checkers of the AHL, reassigning forward Andreas Nodl and defenseman Michal Jordan to Charlotte.

It’s second NHL stint of the season for Dalpe, 23, who made the team’s roster out of training camp. Dalpe had two assists in six games with the Hurricanes before being assigned to Charlotte on Feb. 3. He ranks second among Checkers skaters in goals (18) and points (36) in 45 games.

Gragnani’s recall is his first of the season and his first NHL recall with the Hurricanes. Gragnani, 25, is tied for second among Checkers defensemen in scoring this season with 21 points (1 goal, 20 assists).
