The focus will be on basketball Tuesday, as six first-round games launch the annual CIAA tournament at Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlottes uptown.
A number of other special events are scheduled in addition to the tournament later in the week, including bowling and skating parties, special programs for the regions middle school and high school students, a dance team step show, and the CIAA Toyota Fan Experience.
But on Tuesday, its just basketball. The Johnson C. Smith University womens team plays at 5 p.m. against Lincoln (Pa.) University. The mens team does not play until Thursday afternoon.
