Carolinas College Hoops: Wednesday’s games

Boston College (4-10, 12-15 ACC) at N.C. State (19-8, 8-6)

8 p.m. PNC Arena TV: WMYT

N.C. State forward C.J. Leslie struggled in the loss at UNC and was called out by his coach afterwards. Leslie’s reaction for this game, and going forward, will go a long way in determining the Wolfpack’s fate.

In a more traditional ACC market, Olivier Hanlan would probably be a runaway choice for ACC freshman of the year. Alas, he’ll probably have to settle for a spot on the All-ACC freshman team. Joe Giglio

Dayton (14-12, 4-8) at Charlotte (18-8, 6-6)

7:30 p.m., Halton Arena

A victory would clinch a spot in the Atlantic 10 tournament for the 49ers. But Charlotte has lost four of its last five games, including the last two to Saint Louis and Temple by an average of 19 points. Dayton guard Kevin Dillard averages 14.8 points and 4.7 assists, while the Flyers’ Matt Derenbecker leads the A-10 in 3-point percentage (44.3). David Scott

Davidson (21-7, 15-1 SoCon) at Elon (19-9, 12-4)

7 p.m., Alumni Gym

The two division winners square off for the first time this season. Davidson rides a 12-game winning streak – the fifth-longest in the nation – while Elon has won four of its past five games by six points or fewer. Jake Cohen, the league’s player of the week, averages 15 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. Elon is paced by Lucas Troutman’s 14.9 points per game. Jonathan Jones
