ROCK HILL Police on Wednesday released surveillance images of a man and woman accused of stealing $14,000 in iPhones from the Walmart on Dave Lyle Boulevard in Rock Hill.

According to the incident report, the crime happened Sunday afternoon, when Rock Hill police say a woman distracted a sales associate, while her partner walked behind the sales counter and broke a glass cabinet where iPhones were displayed.

According to Rock Hill police, the man picked up a case filled with iPhones worth more than $14,000.

They also said he threatened to shoot the employee if she tried to stop him.

"It is very shocking hearing it from this Walmart in my hometown Rock Hill. That's ridiculous over some iPhones," said resident Junior Ramirez.

The man is described as 5 feet 8 inches with dark skin and a gold plate on his bottom teeth and tattoos of stars on the left side of his neck.

Police believe the same thieves may have also struck in Chesterfield and Lancaster counties.
