MISENHEIMER Antonio Stabler led Queens with 18 points and was one of three Royals’ players in double-figure scoring as Queens beat Pfeiffer 80-62 Friday in a Conference Carolinas men’s basketball game.
Queens (15-11, 12-8) led by as many as 32 points in the second half. Josh Humphrey led Pfeiffer (4-23, 2-18) with a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds.
Women’s games
Pfeiffer 86, Queens 65: Brittany Cox, Kellie Rhoney and Jodie Lemons each scored 19 and the host Falcons (22-5, 17-5 Conference Carolinas) beat the Royals (13-13, 11-11). Shonice Pettaway led the Royals with 21 points.
Coker 75, Belmont Abbey 63: Belmont Abbey’s Kelsey Long led all scorers with 30 points, one shy of her career-high, but four Coker players reached double figures as the host Cobras (18-10, 14-8 Conference Carolinas) beat Belmont Abbey (12-14, 11-11).

Florida State: Coach Leonard Hamilton is planning to attend his mother’s funeral in Gastonia on Saturday, a day before his Seminoles take on the Tar Heels.
Bennie Ruth Hamilton died last week at the age of 96.
Hamilton’s team is set to play at North Carolina in Chapel Hill on Sunday.
St. John’s: D’Angelo Harrison, the third-leading scorer in the Big East Conference, was suspended for the rest of the season.
Red Storm coach Steve Lavin made the announcement without giving a reason for the suspension, which includes postseason games.
Harrison, a sophomore guard from Missouri City, Texas, averaged 17.8 points.
New Mexico State: Senior forward Tyrone Watson has been indicted on a felony battery charge accusing him of severely beating a fellow student at a party.
