Deputies: 4 women accused of stealing $5K in merchandise from Tega Cay Wal-Mart

TEGA CAY The York County Sheriff’s Office arrested three of four women this week accused of stealing nearly $5,000 worth of merchandise from the Tega Cay Wal-Mart, according to a police report.

The loss prevention manager of the store told deputies that the four women--all from Lancaster--stole various electronics, household goods and baby items from the Wal-Mart, according to the report.

The theft happened on Feb. 17, the report states.

After investigating, police arrested on Wednesday 22-year-old Sherniece Nichols Jones, 23-year-old Melissa Myers and 38-year-old Donna Faith Beckham, according to the report.

A fourth woman suspected of being involved in the shoplifting has not yet been arrested, the report states.

Several cameras, blankets and towels and at least six computers were taken from the store, according to the report.

Beckham and Jones were still at the Moss Justice Detention Center on Saturday afternoon, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office website.
