Observations: Ga. Southern - Davidson

By Jonathan Jones

• Davidson’s 14-game winning streak is the fourth-longest in school history under coach Bob McKillop. The 2007-08 team that featured Stephen Curry won 25 consecutive games. The 2004-05 team had 16 straight wins, and the 1995-96 team had 19.

• While there were 3,556 in attendance for Senior Day, there weren’t many students due to spring break. Both student sections were filled mostly by non-students for the first time since the semester break and their absence was noticeable.

• For the first time since Jan. 17, senior forward Clint Mann was dressed in uniform on the bench. Mann, the team’s sixth man, did not play Saturday and has not seen action since suffering a concussion in Davidson’s win against The Citadel.

“Clint worked out yesterday and (Saturday). He’ll work out (Sunday),” McKillop said. “These are the first workouts he’s had since early January. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.”
