Traffic on a portion of Elizabeth Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction, starting Sunday, until further notice.
The Charlotte Department of Transportation says crews will be doing water line and storm water work on Elizabeth Avenue, between Kings Drive and McDowell Street.
This work is part of the streetcar project. Officials say motorists can expect congestion and delays in the area for the forseeable future.
