The latest traffic problem at 8:15 a.m. is on northbound Interstate 85 in north Charlotte.
Police report a collision near the Mallard Creek Church Road interchange. At last check, the center and right northbound lanes are closed. Traffic backups are building.
Earlier, there were two other interstate highway traffic problems, and a wreck also is slowing traffic on inbound East Independence Boulevard.
An earlier collision on northbound I-85 in west Charlotte was cleared a half-hour ago, but delays remain.
Now there is a wreck with injuries on northbound I-77 near Fort Mill, causing slowdowns in York County.

I-85 northbound, north Charlotte ... Collision reported at 8:05 a.m. near Mallard Creek Church Road; center and right lanes affected; traffic moving 15-25 mph from the U.S. 29-N.C. 49 Connector up to the wreck scene.
I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Providence Road to I-77.
I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-25 mph from Carowinds Boulevard to Woodlawn Road.
I-77 northbound, York County ... Multi-vehicle collision with an overturned vehicle and injuries reported about 7:45 a.m.; traffic moving 10-20 mph for about 3 miles south of the wreck scene; wreck is between Exit 83 (S.C. 160) and Exit 88 (Gold Hill Road).
I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Mooresville to Exit 23 in Huntersville.
I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from George Liles Parkway to I-485.
Independence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion; also a collision at Conference Drive; traffic moving 5-15 mph from Village Lake Drive to Idlewild Road.
I-485 outer loop, north Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Rocky River Road to I-85.
