Woman assaulted on dance floor at Rock Hill club

A 62-year-old woman was hit in the face with a “blunt object” while on the dance floor at the Elks Sterling Lodge on Sunday night, according to a Rock Hill police report.

Police responded to the Ogden Road venue just after 11 p.m. and found the woman with blood on her clothes and a deep cut above her right eye, the report states.

A witness told police that a woman between the ages 55 and 60 “struck” the woman in the face and ran away into the parking lot, according to the report.

Officers were told that the suspect lives in Charlotte.

The injured woman refused EMS treatment and had a family member take her to the hospital, the report states.
