ROCK HILL Employees at the Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in Rock Hill reported to police on Monday that someone broke into the business and stole a cash register worth $1,000.

At about 2:30 p.m., police met with the school’s Rock Hill campus director, who said employees arrived around 9 a.m. and didn’t notice anything out of place until she went to audit money, according to a Rock Hill Police report. That’s when she realized a cash register was missing.

She said the incident was caught on camera, the report states.

Three cameras caught a masked man about 5 feet 10 inches tall and between 160 to 190 pounds wearing a blue hooded jacket, light gray blue jeans, brown boots and with socks or medical gloves covering his hands breaking into the backdoor and walking around, the report states.

Cameras show the man taking the register, the report states. No other items or money has been reported missing.

Fingerprints were not available.
