Wednesday morning traffic update

Congestion delays remain the big problem for Charlotte-area motorists at 8:50 a.m.

Here is the update:

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-30 mph from N.C. 73 down to I-485.

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 30-35 mph from the lake down to I-485.

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Providence Road to I-77.

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-30 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Woodlawn Road.

Tyvola Road at South Boulevard ... Collision reported at 8:30 a.m.; minor delays.
