Matchup to Watch
Kevin Durant vs. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: The Bobcats rookie faces a huge test against one of the NBAs top all-around scorers.
Observations
• The Bobcats last game against the Thunder a 114-69 thumping in Oklahoma City in November was the widest margin of defeat in franchise history.
• The Bobcats owe their second-round pick in June to the Thunder to complete the Byron Mullens deal one of the best trades in Bobcats history.
• The Thunder had a nationally televised game against the Knicks Thursday night in New York City.
Tap-ins
• Backup point guard Ramon Sessions was diagnosed Thursday with a left knee sprain (medial collateral ligament). Sessons (14.4 ppg), the teams second-leading scorer, is expected to miss the next two to four weeks due to the injury.
• Mullens has been limited of late with a sore right knee.
Did you know?
The Thunders two turnovers versus the Lakers tied an NBA record for fewest giveaways ever. Thats only happened three times in the leagues history.
