John Belk ramp, lane closures this weekend

Motorists using the inner loop of the John Belk Freeway in Charlotte’s uptown should prepare for ramp and lane closures this weekend, near the Fourth Street and South Boulevard interchanges.

The N.C. Department of Transportation says crews will be repairing bridge railings and the barrier walls, from 9 p.m. Friday until 9 a.m. Sunday.

Here are the plans:

-- The ramp from the inner loop of the John Belk Freeway to Fourth Street (Exit 2A) will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday.

-- The right lane on the inner loop approaching Fourth Street will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Sunday.

-- The right lane on the inner loop approaching South Boulevard will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday.
