A woman charged with stealing items that belonged to a drowned baby pleaded guilty in Rowan County court Friday.
Jessica Williams, 26, was arrested along last September for breaking into the home of Jessica Keply and stealing family keepsakes from the bedroom of her 1-year-old son, Parker Munn, who had recently drowned in an ornamental pond .
Williams boyfriend Bobby Milam was also arrested.
Police said they found the familys stolen jewelry and other household items inside Williams' home. They also discovered Munns birth certificate and bible in a trash pile in Williams yard.
Following the proceedings, Keplys family gathered outside the courthouse and expressed displeasure in the six to 17 month sentence Williams received.
It included probation, with six months already served.
Milam is awaiting trial.
