Observations: Oklahoma City Thunder at Charlotte Bobcats

By RICK BONNELL

• Bobcats coach Mike Dunlap said pre-game that he’ll use Reggie Williams primarily as the backup point guard with Ramon Sessions out up to a month with a sprained left knee.

I should think the Bobcats would consider signing a Development League point guard to a 10-day contract. They have an open roster spot. They’re in danger of wearing Kemba Walker out the next few weeks.

• I asked Thunder coach Scott Brooks if he could picture the way ex-OKC player Byron Mullens has evolved as a Bobcat. Brooks said he knew Mullens could be more of a rebounder and post-scorer, but that required physical strength he didn’t have when he was with the Thunder.

• Good crowd, as you would expect for a Friday night against a big-name opponent. But the place wasn’t filled with fans of the visitors the way it is when the Lakers, Heat or Knicks show up.

• Due to Sessions’ injury, power forward Tyrus Thomas was activated for the first time in 12 games. He did not play.
