The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office found two runaway teens this afternoon who had been missing since Wednesday.

About 1 p.m., deputies spotted the two, Amber Thomas and Austin Fitzpatrick, both 16, at an ATM machine at a Bank of America in Denver, according to a release.

Thomas left her home Wednesday night through a window to meet her boyfriend, Fitzpatrick, at a Food Lion. The two were later seen at a Wal-Mart in Lincolnton that night, but had not been seen since then.

The teenagers have been safely returned to their parents, the release said.
