Sheri Riley is currently seeking a post-graduate degree in Invasive Cardiology. She enjoys sports and spending time outside with her fiance, Jeff, and their two dogs, Lola and Cami. She is getting married October 12, 2013. Contact Sheri here.

In my last entry, I talked about some vendors in the Charlotte area that I have had the chance to meet and highly recommend.

Picking up where I left off...

Bridal Salons

1. New York Bride and Groom: I can't tell you how many times I've been in and out of this place however, I can tell you that every time I've been there has been a great experience. Not only do they have a TON of wedding dresses, but also a ton of bridesmaid dress (thank the lawd). Although I didn't purchase my dress there, they have been super accommodating when it comes to my bridesmaids dresses. They have made it very easy for them to just send in their measurements and payments, and they take care of the rest! It's like a one stop shop too! You can get your dress, your bridal party's dresses, your groom AND his men dressed, AND your mom! Boom.

2. Dar-Lynns Bridal and Formal Wear: This is where I purchased my dress. I went with my mom and future mother-in-law while she was in town one weekend. I figured we'd just go try and few on - not make any commitments to anything, ya know? Yeah... I bought the fourth dress I tried on. I couldn't believe how easy it was! Everyone there is super sweet and willing to do whatever they can to help. I also love that it's a family run business.

3. Mecklenburg Bridal

Another great salon in the area with a ton of choices! I had my dress by time I visited the shop, but came here looking for a mother of the bride dress with my mom. I was floored to see that they had racks upon racks of options for my mom to try on (along with a TON of dresses and veils). The women here were also very accommodating and sweet. You really can't go wrong when looking for a gown in the area.

Planners

1. I do wedding consulting

I met Nancy when I first started planning my wedding (and when it was still supposed to be in Charlotte). This woman is probably the NICEST woman I have ever met in my entire life. We spent well over an hour chatting at Starbucks when we first met - an appointment that I thought was only going to be about 20 minutes. She made me, within that hour, feel completely confident about handing over the reins of my wedding to her. She is creative and passionate about what she does and knows what she's doing. I HIGHLY recommend her.

Again, I hope this helps some of you out there! Please let me know if you have any questions!

World peace and skinny jeans,

Sheri xo
