Tip leads to Lincoln drug arrest

LINCOLNTON -- Investigators say information from the county’s Drug Tip Line helped lead Lincoln County authorities to make a drug arrest late last week.

Jarvis Lamont Jackson, 21, of Lincolnton, was arrested after agents of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office say they were able to make an undercover drug purchase. During a search of Jackson’s residence, an apartment in the 1000 block of Georgetown Road, deputies say they found about 2 ounces of high-grade marijuana which allegedly was grown by use of hydroponics.

Jackson was charged with possession with two felonies -- intent to sell and deliver marijuana, and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. He is free under $15,000 bond.
