FORT MILL A Fort Mill McDonald’s employee whom police say had a marijuana pipe in her purse was arrested last week after deputies say she embezzled more than $3,000 from the fast food restaurant within two months.

Nicole Suzanne Bailey, 41, of 7242 Glen Oaks Road in Fort Mill is charged with breach of trust, according to a York County Sheriff’s report. She was being held Monday at the York County Detention Center on a $3,500 bond.

On Friday, police were sent to the McDonald’s on U.S. 21 Bypass, where a McDonald’s manager told police that starting in January, Bailey rang up food purchases and refunded the charges on her American Express credit card, the report states. The manager showed police register receipts showing that Bailey’s drawer had several unauthorized refunds.

Police watched surveillance video showing Bailey ring up purchases on the register and then slide her credit card through the card reader, the report states. An officer went to Bailey’s house and served her with a warrant for breach of trust.

While searching for Bailey’s driver’s license and ID in her purse, they found a marijuana pipe and a joint that she rolled to smoke later to calm her nerves, the report states. She was issued a courtesy summons for possession of marijuana.
