A Union County man faces charges of sexually exploiting a minor and taking indecent liberties with a child after deputies discovered photographs he allegedly had taken of nude and partially clothed girls.
Chad Blume, 31, was arrested March 7 after deputies determined a camera memory card that contained the photographs belonged to him.
A worker at Crossroads Ford in Indian Trail turned the card over to the Union County Sheriff’s Office after finding it in Blume’s recently traded-in car.
Deputies then obtained a search warrant for Blume’s home and confiscated computer equipment there.
Capt. Ronnie Whitaker said Blume was a volunteer with a local cheerleading organization and that there may be more victims involved in the case.
Blume was in jail Tuesday on $100,000 bond.
