Three Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools got new principals Tuesday, two of them assistant principals promoted at the schools theyre working in now.
• Jacqueline Barone, assistant principal at Piedmont Middle School, will assume the top job at the uptown Charlotte magnet school, which offers an International Baccalaureate program.
• Ann Marie Laszewski, assistant principal at Marie G. Davis Military/Leadership Academy, becomes principal of the K-12 magnet school just south of uptown Charlotte.
• Amy Mirco, currently an assistant principal at Quail Hollow Middle School, was named principal of Piney Grove Elementary, a neighborhood school in east Charlotte.
