    No. 7 seed

No. 7 seed

20-11 overall

8-10 ACC

vs. Wake Forest, 7 p.m. Thursday, WMYT, ESPNU

Starting lineup

G Pe’Shon Howard, 3.1 ppg, 3.8 apg

G Nick Faust, 8.9 ppg, 3.5 rpg

G-F Dez Wells, 12.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg

G-F Jake Layman, 5.5 ppg, 3.0 rpg

C Alex Len, 11.8 ppg, 8.1 rpg

Counting on a big weekend from …

Alex Len. He’s regarded as a potential lottery pick, but inconsistency has kept him from dominating on a regular basis in league play. Now would be a good time to do so if the Terrapins have hopes to make the later rounds.

Number to know

56.3 Maryland’s total rebounding percentage, which ranks No. 4 in the country. The Terrapins’ frontcourt – Len, Layman, Shaquille Cleare, Charles Mitchell and James Padgett – have largely been effective.

Dancing shoes or flip-flops?

Flip-flops. The Terrapins’ faint NCAA at-large hopes were killed with an OT loss against Virginia to end the regular season. While it’s unlikely they could get by a Duke team with Ryan Kelly, the thought of Maryland winning four games to take the ACC tournament is even more difficult to imagine.
