The Fort Mill High School Marching Band performed in front of hundreds of thousands of people today in Dublin, Ireland, as part of the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

According to reports, the weather was gloomy and cold. It rained early in the morning and even snowed briefly, but the weather didn't appear to keep crowds of people clad in green from enjoying the parade.

The band left Wednesday for a six-day trip to Ireland. They spent the first days of their trip touring Ireland, seeing sites including the Cliffs of Moher, Blarney Castle and have enjoyed a medieval banquet in a castle. Band students, parents and staff spent more than a year fundraising for the trip. This is the first time the marching band has been on an international trip.
