KANNAPOLIS One man was in jail and police were looking for another man after a fatal shooting in Kannapolis late Saturday.

The shooting happened in the 1700 block of Hampton Forest Drive. Investigators said they received a call that a man had been shot inside the home.

Investigators in Kannapolis had not released the name of the man, pending family notification.

Demarcus Chambers was arrested in connection with the shooting. The conditions of his arrest weren’t immediately available.

He was in a Cabarrus County jail late Sunday, charged with murder and robbery. He was not given a bond.

Police have issued warrants for murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon for Logan Porter Brown, 22, of Concord.

Kannapolis Police said Brown was probably driving a white 2013 Toyota Scion with a North Carolina registration AFX6653.
