Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools has several opportunities for the public to get informed and have input as leaders shape the budget and a strategic plan. Here are the coming week’s events.

School board

•  Monday, March 18: Budget work session, 4:30-6:30 p.m., Room 267, Government Center, 600 E. Fourth St.

Advisory boards

•  Monday, March 18: Limited English proficiency students, 2-3:30 p.m., UNC Charlotte, College of Education Building, Room 108.

•  Thursday, March 21: Community and faith partnerships, 10-11:30 a.m., Dowd YMCA, 400 E. Morehead St., seventh floor.

•  Thursday, March 21: Special education, 3-5 p.m. Walton Plaza, 700 E. Stonewall St., Room 427.

•  Thursday, March 21: Parent engagement, 4-6 p.m., Smith Family Center, 1600 Tyvola Road.

•  Thursday, March 21: Time, capital and resource management, 4-6 p.m., Robinson, Bradshaw and Hinson, 101 N. Tryon St.

•  Friday, March 22: Process and system improvement, 7:30-9 a.m., Government Center, 600 E. Fourth St., Room 546.

•  Monday, March 25: Gifted students, 9:30-11:30 a.m., Barringer Elementary, 1546 Walton Road.

•  Monday, March 25: Professional growth system, 3:30-5:30 p.m., Villa Heights, 800 Everett Place.
