Midway fire officials are investigating the cause of a blaze early Tuesday that damaged two condominium units in Litchfield Beach, according to authorities.

The blaze was reported about 3 a.m. Tuesday at 163 Heron Marsh Drive in Litchfield Beach and about an hour later crews had extinguished the bulk of the fire, according to Bob Beebe, public information officer for Midway Fire Department. Crews remained on scene until nearly 6 a.m. Tuesday cleaning up and checking for hot spots.

Horry County and Georgetown County fire crews also assisted in battling the blaze.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
