Its been a long journey, and our five Get Fit finalists blew it out of the water. These ladies committed to making a healthful changenot just for the wedding daybut for the rest of their lives.
Meet our winner, Brittany Sajbel -- now Brittany Love!
Im thrilled! says Brittany Love of her grand-prize win. I feel healthier than I ever have before, Im more physically fit than Ive ever been. Im constantly aware of the changes, like walking up a flight of stairs without any shortness of breath.
Its been a long road for Brittany, who during the first couple months of the competition admitted she felt shed have time to catch up. While slow progress is never a bad thing, she realized she was slipping here and there without the commitment to smaller goals. With concrete goals and a solid support system (plus the therapeutic blogging element), Brittany sprinted to the finish to come out on top with a weight loss of 22 pounds, 12.2 percent of her body weight.
Which prize are Brittany and her new husband Neil most looking forward to? The honeymoon is going to be a trip we never would have taken otherwise, she says.Read a note from Brittany on her win here! Starting weight: 181
Final weight: 159

Ive struggled with weight pretty much my whole life, but this experience allowed me to take a step back and examine myself and what I was doing before that wasnt working. [Blogging] was scary at first because I consider myself private, so it was hard to open up about issues surrounding health, but at the same time it was good because it allowed me that outlet and to see that other people are experiencing the same thing. Starting weight: 181
Final weight: 159
Congratulations to both Brittany and Amanda on their wins!
BeccaIve lost 23 pounds on this journey13 with Carolina Bride and 10 beforeand Im able to look back and see how much progress Ive made. Ive gone down two pants sizes and feel more comfortable. It was so worth the process.
You see in the movies the guy always picking up the girl. My fiancé is a strong guy and hes always wanted to pick me up and I would say no. As corny as it sounds Ive always wanted to have my husband be able to pick me up like that, and now I dont have to feel self conscious about it.Starting weight: 175
Final weight: 162AlynFor me it was the public factor that was motivating during the challenge. IT seems cheesy but from the beginning, I wasnt gung ho to winI just wanted to feel better! Having to write about the process has made me reflect and work through things. I am still losing weight and I still have goals to accomplish, but I have not faltered at all even after the last weigh-in.Starting weight: 191
Final weight: 174SheriWhen we started, it was embarrassing to admit to my friends that I had put on weight. As shallow as that sounds, my friends knew me as this very fit person, and getting back to that person was my biggest motivation.
Now, Ive started doing fitness competitions. Ive always been a fitness competitor so I think that will help me maintain the healthy lifestyle and give me something to work for. My first competition is in October!Starting weight: 157
Final weight: 139
