↑  Ciara Murphy, Davidson Day girls’ soccer: Four goals in a 5-0 win over Wesleyan Christian.

↑  Charlotte Catholic baseball: eight straight wins after Tuesday’s victory against Berry. Catholic coach Randy Belk got his 398th win.

↑  Cameron Price, Piedmont baseball: Nine strikeouts and win in 8-0 win over West Stanly. Price was 2-4 with two triples for Piedmont (9-1).

↑  Katrina Cassel, Hough softball: nine strikeouts, no earned runs allowed in 15-3 win over North Mecklenburg.

Tuesday’s Top Performers

Brandi Arey, Hough girls soccer: Two goals and an assist in a 7-0 win over North Meck. Hough, the reigning N.C. 4A state champion, is 5-0. Marnie Merritt and Maddie Domico shared the shutout.

Nick Cantafio, Cuthbertson baseball: complete game shutout for Cantafio, a Charleston Southern signee, in a 3-0 win over Forest Hills. Cuthbertson is 5-1, 4-0 in the Rocky River conference.

Anna Comer, Country Day girls lacrosse: five goals in a 19-1 win over Lake Norman Charter.

Katharine Dattolo, Charlotte Catholic softball: 2-2 with a triple and two RBIs in a 21-2 win over Berry.

Anna Estep, Cannon girls soccer: Two goals in a 2-1 win over Charlotte Country Day (2-2-1). Cannon is 6-1.

Chance Grey, Carmel Christian baseball: 3-3 with an RBI during a 7-6 loss to Pine Lake Prep.

Josh Harley, Hayden Smith, Charlotte Latin baseball: Smith was 2-4 with two RBIs and Harley 2-3 with an RBI in a 8-3 win over Cannon.

Caleb Hensley, Metrolina Christian golf: Shot 39 to win medalist honors in a match with Hickory Grove at Pine Lake Country Club. Hensley was the only golfer to shoot under 40 over 9 holes.

Spencer Hutchinson, Covenant Day baseball: 2-4 with an RBI in a 5-3 win over Providence Day. Daniel Stack was 2-3 with a double and an RBI for Providence Day.

Joella Knopf, Freedom girls soccer: Freshman scored off an assist from junior Kayla Wilson to give the Patriots their first win over R-S Central since entering the South Mountain conference in 2010. Freedom won 1-0 and junior Quay Mills got the shutout.

Kayla McGuffey, Mackenzie Winslow, Lake Norman softball: nine put outs in 10 chances for McGuffey. Mackenzie Winslow was nine for nin in 2-0 win over Hopewell. Lake Norman is 6-0.

Luke Miller, South Meck baseball: 2-3 with a home run, three runs scored and four RBIs in a 14-0 win over Independence.

Morgan Whitesides, Gaston Day girls soccer: Four goals in a 9-0 win over United Faith.

Taylor Wike, Alexander Central softball: 4-4 with four runs scored and two RBIs in a 7-2 win over Canon McMillan (Penn.).

All District 10 Basketball

Here is the All-District 10 high school basketball team. It features players from Gaston, Catawba, Burke, Cleveland, Lincoln and Rutherford Counties. The team is voted on by the N.C. Basketball Coaches Association.

5: Doubles for Maiden’s softball team in 3-2 win over South Iredell: Lindsey Schronce, Mollie Sigmon and Jessica Cooper each had one. Emily Crouse had two. Schronce also had a home run.

5-0: Record for Myers Park’s golf team after a 135-154 win over Ardrey Kell. Philip Oweida and Austin Morrison both shot team-low scores of 33 over 9 holes.

10: Saves for Charlotte Latin lacrosse goalie Emerson Schaeffer in a 12-8 over Fort Mill.

30: Consecutive wins for Hough’s girls soccer team after Tuesday’s 7-0 win over North Mecklenburg.
