U.S. Rep. Renee Ellmers, a possible U.S. Senate candidate next year, will speak to the Mecklenburg County Young Republicans Tuesday.
Ellmers, a registered nurse from Dunn, is in her second term in Congress. She’s been appearing at party gatherings around the state.
The group meets at the Dilworth Neighborhood Grille on Morehead Street. A private reception for sponsors starts at 5:30 p.m.; the meeting begins at 7 p.m.
Cost is $20 for non-members, $10 for members. The group also is collecting used clothing to benefit the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Jim Morrill
