An official with Chiquita Brands International is the newest member of the Crime Stoppers Board.
Ed Guevara, director of global security for the Charlotte-based corporation, has been appointed a board member of the organization, which provides financial rewards to people for information in criminal cases. Guevara worked with the FBI for 25 years before retiring and moving to Chiquita Brands, where he is responsible for the safety and welfare of the company’s 21,000 employees.
In honor of Guevara’s appointment, Chiquita has donated $5,000 to the Crime Stoppers reward fund.
