Carowinds’ Opening Day

Ride thrill rides including WindSeeker and Intimidator, and check out the new Dinosaurs Alive attraction, which combines “finely detailed hand-crafted animatronics, interactive consoles, a lush setting and educational content.”

Twelve in Twelve 12K

In addition to the 12-kilometer trail race, there’s a 1.2-mile fun run and an Easter egg hunt. Proceeds support the Twelve In Twelve Foundation, which is participating in relief efforts in Rwanda, Thailand and Haiti.

Dance

Power 98 Step Off

The fourth annual event is the biggest teen step show of the year, and features groups from around the area competing for cash prizes.
