Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly robbed an east Charlotte convenience store at gunpoint earlier this week.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say the man entered a Citgo store, in the 6800 block of Albemarle Road, about 1:35 a.m. Tuesday. The man was armed with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. After getting cash, the suspect ran off.

The suspect is described as a black male, weighing about 150 to 160 pounds, with dreadlocks and a goatee. He was wearing blue jeans, a white T-shirt, a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes.
