U.S. Marshals arrest Pennsylvania homicide suspect in Charlotte

U.S. Marshals arrested a Philadelphia, Penn. homicide suspect in Charlotte Friday morning following a multi-state investigation.

John Claybourne, 36, was apprehended when marshals and deputies from the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office stopped his car in the 5200 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road at 7:20 a.m.

Claybourne is wanted in connection with a March 8 homicide in Philadelphia, when police there found a 53-year-old man shot to death in his car.

Authorities said Claybourne will be held in the Mecklenburg County jail until they can extradite him to Pennsylvania.
