When I first started my wedding dress search (the day after we got engaged), I stumbled across the most darling, delicate, beautiful dress I had ever seen on J. Crews website. The only thing that was problematic is that you cant try it on before buying. You just have to order it and hope that it works. Before taking the plunge, I wanted to look around and see if there was anything else I found that made my heart go pitter-patter like that one.I quickly found out that you can spend hours, days, even weeks trying on gowns and they are ALL gorgeous in their own way. But I had a few deal breakers: beads, poofy, trains and sleeves. So we (my friend Gean & I) were able to narrow it down to strapless dresses without beading that were A-line and not too poofy. This led us to Wtoo Bristol. Oh my stars, I fell in love. But I soon fell out of love the dress was see-thru, had boning that caused a weird crease around the waist and laced up instead of zipped. All of these things could have been changed for a price, but I felt at that point, I was not in love with the dress anymore.
So I went back to the J. Crew dress important to note that in the meantime while I was searching for other dresses, the J. Crew dress sold out and then they got ONE back in stock and had a wedding sale with 25% off. I clicked order and waited very impatiently for it to arrive! Finally, the prettiest brown box Ive ever seen was delivered. And inside of that box, was the prettiest white box I have ever seen. And inside that box was the prettiest wedding gown I have EVER seen!
My sweet aunt helped me get situated in the dress and then we just stood there marveling over how beautiful it was. How perfect the material was, how the neckline was amazing. Oh my heavens, I knew right then and there, this is THE ONE. I tried it on again the next day when my MOH came to see me and she loved it every bit as much as I did.
And I cant wait to wear it in August and become Mrs. White in my beautiful white dress!
