Part of Cabarrus road closed for 8 months

CONCORD -- The N.C. Department of Transportation says a portion of Troutman Road in Cabarrus County will be closed until late November.

The road was closed to through traffic Monday morning, between Cal Bost Road and Jim Sossoman Road. The DOT says crews will be replacing a culvert along the road.

The project is scheduled for completion on Nov. 28. Until then, motorists can use Jim Sossoman and Cal Bost roads as a detour.
