Meth lab found in oceanfront Myrtle Beach hotel

By Tonya Root
The (Myrtle Beach) Sun News

Two people were in Myrtle Beach police custody early Tuesday after officers discovered a methamphetamine lab at an oceanfront hotel, Capt. David Knipes said.

Officers were told about a possible meth lab and at 2 a.m. Tuesday went to the Polynesian Beach and Golf Resort at 1001 S. Ocean Blvd., to investigate it, Knipes said.

There, officers found an operational meth lab and they called agents with the State Law Enforcement Division to assist in dismantling it, Knipes said. Two people were taken into custody, but details about their charges have not been released.
