Report: Man stabbed neighbor after being knocked from wheelchair

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Wednesday were investigating a stabbing that stemmed from a dispute between neighbors.

A paraplegic man, his brother and their neighbor were socializing at a residence in the 600 block of West Boulevard in Charlotte Tuesday when the three began fighting about the neighbor’s missing cell phone, according to a police report.

During the scuffle, the disabled man was knocked from his wheelchair.

He then stabbed the neighbor, the police report said.

The neighbor received treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. No charges had been filed Wednesday.
