Tonight's Alive After Five kickoff uptown canceled

Thursday’s cold and wet weather in Charlotte has forced the cancellation of the season’s initial Alive After Five uptown party.

Temperatures are near 40 degrees, and forecasters say rain and chilly conditions will continue through the evening. Organizers of Alive After Five, the weekly Thursday evening event featuring live music, say the season-opening event will be next Thursday, April 11.

According to Alive After Five’s Facebook page, anyone looking for a celebration tonight is invited to Blackfinn’s.

Alive After Five will take place every Thursday evening through September. April events are at the Wells Fargo Plaza, and the May through September events are at the BudLight Pavilion at EpiCentre.
