Missing York man found after search

The search for a missing 49-year-old York County man ended in success late Wednesday night when the man was found. He was safe, the York County Sheriff’s Office says.

Keith Hensley had been reported missing late Wednesday afternoon in the area near S.C. 49 and Parham Road, near York. He had left his house about 1 p.m., and family members told authorities that Parham suffers from memory loss.

The sheriff’s office sent out a reverse-911 call to people living within a mile of where Parham was last seen, and deputies called in their K-9 dog search unit and a search helicopter from State Law Enforcement Division.

Trent Faris, a spokesman for the York County Sheriff’s Office, says Hensley was found around midnight, walking in the area near S.C. 274 and Bridlewood Drive. Faris said tips from the public helped deputies find the man.
