Authorities are asking for the communitys help finding the white male who stole $42 worth of scratch-off lottery tickets from a Fort Mill convenience store.
The York County Sheriffs Office is looking for a man they say took four $10 scratch-off and two $1 scratch-off tickets from the Kangaroo Express at 249 Carowinds Blvd. on April 9.
According to officials, the store clerk noticed the suspect walking around the store with his back pocket full of scratch-offs. The clerk didnt see how the suspect got the tickets or the type of vehicle he left in, but a recount of tickets showed the store was $42 short.
A short time later, authorities said the suspect tried without success to redeem the tickets at a QuickTrip store in Lake Wylie.
Anyone with details about the mans identity is asked to contact York County Crime Stoppers: www.yorkcountycrimestoppers.org; 1-877-409-4321 or the York County Sheriffs Office: 803-628-3059.
