Myers Park state Quiz Bowl champions

Myers Park High posted an 8-0 record to win the N.C. Quiz Bowl tournament April 13 at Rogers-Herr Middle School in Durham.

Jay M. Robinson finished third as a medalist in the middle school division.

Quiz Bowl is one of 14 major scholastic competitions that will determine the state’s best high school and middle school. The North Carolina Association for Scholastic Activities Scholastic Cup and Middle School Cup will be awarded to the winning schools. Points are awarded for participation and excellence in the NCASA and partner competitions.

Myers Park and Jay M. Robinson lead their respective divisions in the state. Myers Park has 353 points, with Ardrey Kell second at 228 through nine high school events. Robinson has 205 points, with Mount Mourne School second at 149 through seven middle school events.
