Tuesday morning traffic update

A number of big traffic problems have developed across the Charlotte region at 8:10 a.m. this Tuesday morning.

Both sides of Interstate 485 in southern Mecklenburg County are very slow this morning, and a wreck on South Tryon Street at Arrowood Road also is causing problems.

Here is the 8:10 a.m. update:

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-30 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Woodlawn Road.

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Providence Road to South Boulevard.

I-485 outer loop, south Mecklenburg ... Collision and congestion, between I-77 and South Boulevard; traffic moving only 10-15 mph in that area.

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from the lake down to I-485.

Independendence Boulevard inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 10-20 mph from Village Lake Drive to Sharon Amity Road.

Albemarle Road inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph from Lawyers Road to Sharon Amity Road.

I-485 outer loop, north Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-20 mph from University City Boulevard to I-485.

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 10-20 mph from George Liles Parkway (Exit 56) down to I-485.

South Tryon Street at Arrowood Road ... Collision with injuries at 7:55 a.m.; moderate delays.
