Man killed in Lancaster County wreck

A 27-year-old man was killed early Saturday in a wreck in Lancaster County, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The victim was identified as Dennis Ingram, according to The (Rock Hill) Herald. Authorities said he was from the Coward, S.C., which is in Florence County.

The wreck occurred around 2 a.m. Saturday on Golf Course Road, said Lance Cpl. Brent Kelly. He said the driver was headed north in a 1995 Jeep Cherokee when he went off the left side of the road, overcorrected and then veered off the right side of the road. The vehicle overturned and struck a tree, Kelly said.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt, but was pronounced dead at the scene, Kelly said.
