Statistically speaking: Small business owners oppose territorial tax system

According to an April Small Business Owners’ Views on Corporate Tax Reform survey, 85 percent of small business owners oppose a territorial tax system. Here are some other results from the American Sustainable Business Council and Main Street Alliance poll:

64 percent of small business owners support ending deferral, a provision of the current tax code that allows corporations to indefinitely delay paying U.S. taxes on foreign earnings.

34 percent of owners said that closing tax loopholes for large corporations is more important for the federal government to address than government spending cuts.
