Deputies: Caldwell man used box-cutter in store robbery

A Caldwell County man is in jail Wednesday after authorities say he used a box cutter during a robbery at a convenience store last week.

The suspect also took $200 and two packs of cigarettes from the Sunshine Superette in Hudson, according to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office. The store is located in the 4100 block of Lower Cedar Valley Road.

Authorities said Chris James Parlier II of Hudson confessed to the crime. He was arrested Monday and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Parlier is being held in the Caldwell jail under a $50,000 secured bond.
