Huntersville wreck sends one to CMC

A Thursday night crash in Huntersville sent a man to Carolinas Medical Center with what officials are calling life-threatening injuries.

Huntersville Police responded to the 11800 block of Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road around 8:45 p.m. Thursday after receiving reports that a black Ford Focus had gone off the road.

Authorities said the male driver was found outside the vehicle and believe he was ejected after apparently losing control entering a turn. The car left the roadway to the right and rolled several times.

On Friday, officials have not released the man’s name and his condition is unknown.

North Mecklenburg Rescue, Medic and Huntersville Fire Department also responded to the scene and the Huntersville Police Traffic Safety Section continues to investigate.
