Pedestrian walks away after hit by Lynx train

A pedestrian walked away after being hit by a Charlotte Area Transit System LYNX train Friday afternoon.

According to CATS officials a “pedestrian made contact with the train then got up and walked away.”

Crews said they were responding to the scene and trying to locate the person shortly before 5:30 p.m.

Moments after "contact was made," CATS officials said that service was up and running although they were operating on a single track.

Crews cautioned there may be a small delay from the station to the commuters.

Authorities said they are reviewing video to see if the incident was recorded.

The pedestrian involved in the incident, has yet to be located.
