CMPD responds to shooting at hotel

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a West Rocky River Road shooting that left one man with non-life-threatening injuries around 6 a.m.

The man was shot at the InTown Suites hotel near North Tryon Street during an armed robbery, reported WCNC, the Observer’s news partner.

“It’s all under investigation,” said CMPD captain T.C. Lontz.

The man, whose name was not released, was taken to the hospital.
